President Rodrigo Duterte's children have wished the chief executive good health and support for his 72nd birthday.

Davao Mayor "Inday" Sara Duterte-Carpio posted Tuesday a picture of her and the president during the baptism of her youngest son, Stonefish.

"I just noticed: you wore black at the baptism," the Davao mayor wrote on her Facebook post.

"Happy birthday, Digong. Send some Humba (a pork dish) here for lunch, thanks. Good health, cheers," Duterte's eldest daughter added.

Davao City Vice Mayor Paolo "Pulong" Duterte, also posted his message of thanks and support for the septuagenarian president on Facebook.

"To my father, the famed President of the Philippines, thank you for risking your life for our country. Pa, we are here on the sidelines always supporting you and fighting with you for the good of our beloved Philippines," Duterte's eldest son wrote.

The president earlier said he will celebrate his birthday without fanfare.

"Kasi nagtitipid yung pamilya, everyone of us, but most of us my siblings ko, we follow the same rule. We just sleep it off the day. I would be very glad to spend the day with my grandson, Stone (Stonefish), and the rest of my children and grandchildren. That would have been the greatest gift," the president said during a press conference at Ninoy Aquino International Airport last Thursday.

"Nakuha ko na lahat. I’ve reached the apex of my career. Material things which I cannot be of use to me. I am 72 years old," he added.
