Naharang ng mga tauhan ng Bureau of Immigration (BI) noong Linggo ang tatlong babaeng papunta sanang Saudi Arabia ngunit nagpakita ng mga pekeng dokumento para malusutan ang minimum age of deployment, na itinakda sa 23.

Sabi ni BI Port Operations Division Chief Grifton Medina, pasakay na sana ng eroplano ang tatlo pero napigilan matapos madiskubreng underage pala sila.

"They all presented passports with false birth dates to make it appear that they meet the age requirement for household service workers which is 23 years and above," sabi ni Medina.

Ang dalawa ay nagpanggap umanong 24 at 25 anyos pero napatunayang 22 lang habang ang isa naman ay 24 anyos daw pero 20 lamang pala.

Hindi na pinangalanan ni Medina ang tatlo alinsunod sa anti-trafficking law.

Inilipat sa kustodiya ng Inter-Agency Council Against Trafficking (IACAT) ang tatlo para sa imbestigasyon.

Nagbabala naman si BI chief Jaime Morente na huwag kumagat sa mga ganoong klase ng recruitment dahil sa peligrong kaakibat nito.

"These underaged women are prone to abuse and exploitation in foreign lands, and are being victimized by syndicates exploiting them... To those seeking greener pastures abroad, do not fall for this scheme," aniya.
