The Philippine National Police opened on Friday a one-stop shop that would shorten the processing time for applications and renewals of gun licenses.

The one-stop shop building of the Civil Security Group (CSG) inside Camp Crame will process applications and requirements for License to Own and Possess Firearm (LTOPF), License to Exercise Security Profession (LESP) and Permit to Carry Firearms Outside Residence (PTCFOR)

Neuro-psychiatric examinations, drug testing, as well as the payment of fees and charges will also be done inside the one-stop shop.

"Hindi na kailangang maghintay sa mahabang pila ng ating mga kababayan. Indeed, this is another milestone as this is an important step in our organization's growth," PNP chief Ronald Dela Rosa said in his speech.

The one-stop shop is expected to reduce the processing time to less than a day for those applying for a license to own and possess firearms and license to exercise security profession by housing all facilities and services under one roof, CSG chief Director Federico Dulay Jr. said.

"We want to make it easier for our countrymen to avail of government services. We have received complaints before of the difficulties and delays experienced by the public in securing permits and licenses from the PNP. With the one-stop shop building, the CSG will now be able to attend to more people and provide better and faster services," Dela Rosa said.

The one-stop shop is located near the EDSA Gate of Camp Crame.
