Sepe Jr., ABS-CBN News</figcaption></figure></div>MANILA- Senatorial candidate Imee Marcos has "falsely claimed" to have graduated from Princeton University, its independent student newspaper reported Tuesday."Although she enrolled in the University in 1973, no record shows that she graduated," the <a href='http://www.dailyprincetonian.com/article/2019/02/filipino-governor-senate-candidate-falsely-claims-to-have-graduated-from-u'>Daily Princetonian reported</a>.Marcos on her official website, claims to be "one of the first female graduates from an Ivy League School—Princeton University, graduating with honors."The student paper however reported that Princeton Deputy University Spokesperson Michael Hotchkiss had noted that Marcos attended "from fall 1973 to spring 1976 and returned again for fall 1977 to spring 1979," and had an independent concentration in Religion and Politics. “Our records do not show that Ms. Marcos was awarded a degree,” Hotchkiss wrote, according to the Daily Princetonian.The daughter of late dictator Ferdinand Marcos Sr had previously insisted that she graduated from the prestigious university."Pumasok ako sa Princeton at pagkaalam ko, nag-graduate ako," she said in a previous television interview.(I entered Princeton and as far as I know, I graduated.)<ul class='op-related-articles'>	<li><a href='https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/02/13/19/imee-marcos-insists-she-graduated-from-princeton'>Imee Marcos insists she graduated from Princeton</a></li></ul>The student paper also noted that photos of an alleged invitation to the Princeton Class of 1979 reunions supposedly sent to Marcos have not been verified."The validity of the invitation, which was dated August 2018, has not been confirmed," it said.The Daily Princetonian revealed that Marcos was not an ordinary student based on a letter from Philippine consul general Ernesto Pineda on July 30, 1973."She would live off campus, be escorted by Philippine security personnel, and be driven to and from campus by a Filipino chauffeur," the paper said.This is not the first time that Marcos' educational background has been questioned.Her alleged graduation from the University of the Philippines (UP) Diliman has also been disproven after Marcos posted photos of her supposed graduation from the UP College of Law in 1983. <ul class='op-related-articles'>	<li><a href='https://news.abs-cbn.com/news/02/22/19/imee-marcos-did-not-graduate-no-honors-from-up-diliman-says-up-exec'>Imee Marcos did not graduate, no honors, from UP Diliman, says UP exec</a></li></ul>-with a report from Mike Navallo, ABS-CBN News
