CEBU CITY -- President Rodrigo Duterte on Sunday said his daughter, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio, is in control of some important political decisions in their family.

In a speech in Cebu City, Duterte said there were several decisions that took him by surprise but he can't do anything since his daughter had planned for it.

"Si Inday nalang naay buot ron. Kontrolado na ni Inday (Inday Sara is in control)," he said.

In 2018, it was reported that the younger Duterte had a hand in the ouster of Representative Pantaleon Alvarez as Speaker of the House of Representatives.

Alvarez was later replaced by Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo.

Meanwhile, Duterte said he is not inclined into changing his foul-mouthed ways and hard-hitting statements despite admitting that he gas been reprimanded by his political allies.

"I do not want to change anything, maoy gihatag sa Ginoo nako, bastos og baba (That's what God gave me. I talk foul)," he said.

He said that his friends in politics, such as Cebu Third District Representative Gwen Garcia, asked him to take it slow.

The President, however, insisted that he was born to be him and he's been used to utter words which may not be pleasing to others.
