While some were entertained at the Miss Universe Tapestry Show in SMX Convention Center, President Rodrigo Duterte took a commercial flight from Manila back to his hometown, Davao City, on Thursday night.

In the photos that were taken and uploaded by netizen John Moises, Duterte can be seen inside the plane in what appears to be an economy seat.

"He even greeted us, 'Magandang Gabi sa inyo," Moises wrote in his caption.

Moises said he did not expect the President would take the same flight, Philippine Airlines Flight PR2325, at 9 pm.

He said Duterte was with Special Assistant to the President Christopher ‘Bong’ Go and a few of his Presidential Security Group (PSG) personnel.

This is not the first time that the President took a commercial flight.
He also traveled from Manila to Davao City aboard Philippine Airlines Flight PR1825 at 9 pm of July 7, 2016, and a commercial flight back to Manila from Davao City on January 5, 2017.

During his first Cabinet meeting, Duterte said he plans to take commercial flights to and from Davao City.
