DAVAO CITY – At least one person was killed and three wounded in a stabbing incident here, early on Saturday.

Driver Dante Naresma, 20, died from multiple wounds after being stabbed in different parts of his body in Barangay Bunawan.

Manuel Maniba, 18, and a man identified as "Ricky," 17, sustained stab wounds in the arms and body. They were aided by the city's emergency medical team and brought to a hospital for treatment.

Investigation revealed that the victims were on their way home to Tibungco, Davao City from Panabo City, and were passing through Sitio Lanles on a motorcycle when they were forced to stop upon encountering sacks full of garbage.
