Miss Universe Philippines 2024 Chelsea Manalo did not go home empty handed as she was declared as one of the continental queens of the pageant.

In a press conference, Manalo was declared as Miss Universe Asia 2024 along with 3 other queens from their respective continents.

Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria represented Africa & Oceania, Matilda Wirtavuori of Finland for Europe & Middle East, and Tatiana Calmell of Peru for the Americas.

Manalo was glad to be with Calmell as they were together the whole time during the competition.

"We were always saying that we will still be together until the end and here we are. We're alphabetically together, we're roommates, and now Miss Universe (continental queens)," the Filipina queen said.

Denmark's bet Victoria Theilvig was declared as the winner of Miss Universe 2024, besting 124 other candidates during the three-hour pageant held in Mexico on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Philippines will have to wait for another year as the country's representative Manalo ended her journey for the Miss Universe crown before the Top 12 cut.

Manalo's inclusion in the Top 30 gave the Philippines a two-year streak in making the first cut in Miss Universe.

Last year, Philippines' representative Michelle Dee ended her journey in the Top 10.

Manalo was aiming to become the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe titleholder after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
