Miss Universe 2024 Victoria Theilvig expressed her thoughts after winning her country's first title in the said pageant.

Speaking to reporters, Theilvig shared how the people from Denmark has expressed how proud they are even before she won the crown.

"For me, even before today and winning the title as Miss Universe, I have already made history in Denmark," the beauty queen said.

"The newspapers, everyone is talking about it because I work so hard. I work so hard to reestablish a name for me and me making history, standing here today as the first woman from Denmark to win the Miss Universe title is history," she added.

Theilvig can't wait to roam around the world to show that she deserves the crown.

"And I know that both Denmark and Europe in general is going to be so proud. I know they already are because even before getting crowned, they were already so proud," she said.

"I cannot to travel all around the world and make my country even more proud."

The Denmark bet bested 124 other candidates during the three-hour pageant held in Mexico on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the Philippines will have to wait for another year as the country's representative Chelsea Manalo ended her journey for the Miss Universe crown before the Top 12 cut.

Manalo's inclusion in the Top 30 gave the Philippines a two-year streak in making the first cut in Miss Universe.

Last year, Philippines' representative Michelle Dee ended her journey in the Top 10.

Manalo was aiming to become the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe titleholder after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
