MANILA — Victoria Theilvig of Denmark has won Miss Universe 2024, besting 124 other candidates during the three-hour pageant held in Mexico on Sunday.

Sheynnis Palacios passed the crown to another delegate who won the first title for their country.

Chidimma Adetshina of Nigeria was declared 1st runner-up followed by María Fernanda Beltran of Mexico, Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, and Ileana Márquez of Venezuela, respectively.

Meanwhile, the Philippines will have to wait for another year as the country's representative Chelsea Manalo ended her journey for the Miss Universe crown before the Top 12 cut.

Manalo was aiming to become the Philippines' fifth Miss Universe titleholder after Catriona Gray (2018), Pia Wurtzbach (2015), Margie Moran (1973), and Gloria Diaz (1969).
