MANILA – Newly crowned Demi Leigh Nel-Peters of South Africa admitted that the Philippines’ Pia Wurtzbach is among her favorite Miss Universe winners.

Nel-Peters is set to visit the Philippines as part of her Miss Universe reign. The 2016 edition of the pageant was held in Manila last January.

Wurtzbach won Miss Universe in 2015 and is one of the judges of this year’s pageant, which crowned Nel-Peters. She is the Philippines’ third Miss Universe winner after Margie Moran in 1973 and Gloria Diaz in 1969.
