Manalo, who finished first runner-up to Venezuela’s Mariem Velazco, took to Instagram on Sunday to share her thoughts about her experience in the Japan-based beauty competition.

“Pilipinas kong mahal, binigay ko lahat para sa iyo, lahat-lahat,” she said in one of her posts, which showed her first runner-up crown and sash on top of the Philippine flag.

The last in her series of post-pageant photos showed Manalo with her fellow Miss International 2018 queens.

“We will let the world know that it is love, peace, and beauty that we truly care about. And together, we will make a difference,” she said, repeating a line from her speech during the pageant.

Manalo was hoping to be the Philippines’ seventh Miss International titleholder, after Kylie Verzosa in 2016.
