Jo Koy, a comedian whose show airs on Netflix and is popular for his jokes about growing up with his Filipino mother in the US, is coming to the Philippines.

He's scheduled to perform at The Theatre at Solaire in Manila on November 30 and December 3 and at the Atlantic Hall of Waterfront Hotel & Casino in Cebu on December 1.

"I'm coming to the motherland you guys. Can't wait to see you!" Jo Koy said in his Facebook video announcing the dates.

Tickets will be available at Ticketworld outlets starting October 24.

Jo Koy is considered to be one of the top Asian stand-up comedians in the world, loved for speaking highly of his Filipino heritage in his acts.

In one of his videos, he poked fun at his mother for trying to cure his pneumonia when he was a kid with Vicks VapoRub --a bit that was met with rapturous laughter from his audience.

Jo Koy's show in the Philippines is made possible by MMI Live.
