Some of the best resorts in Asia are in the Philippines.
That's according to the readers of luxury travel and lifestyle magazine Condé Nast Traveler, it was revealed this week.
The El Nido Resorts in Palawan was voted ninth best resort in the region, collecting a near-perfect rating of 99.23, a hair's breadth away from the 99.87 score on the very top.
There was no consensus provided among the voters who picked El Nido Resorts, although Condé Nast Traveler described it as "luxurious hideaway" that provides access to a white sand beach, reefs, secret lagoons, and dozens of dive sites in its own review.
Another resort in Palawan, Amanpulo, also made it on the list, landing 25th spot out of 45 with a rating of 97.5.
The best of Asia award, at least according to this poll, went to Viceroy Bali in Indonesia.
The number of total votes tallied was not released.
It was published at the same time as another poll, which listed Siargao, Boracay, and Palawan as the top 3 islands in Asia.
Both lists are part of the publication's 2018 Reader’s Choice Awards.
