MANILA -- In bustling Bonifacio Global City, where can you go for a power lunch?

Shangri-La at the Fort’s Raging Bull Chophouse and Bar presents an inviting option with its latest offering — a lunch set menu that serves a range of choices for discerning power lunchers.

Available every day of the week, lunch can either be a two- or three-course meal, with the option to upgrade to a premium steak lunch.

For first course, try the Hickory Smoked Salmon. Jeeves de Veyra

Three choices are available for the first course. There’s a classic French onion soup, topped with a gruyere crostini, as well as a salad option -- a generous portion of Chophouse Salad with greens, beetroot, apple and roasted tomato, dressed with a lemon herb vinaigrette.

The last option -- and this author’s most recommended of the trio -- is the hickory smoked salmon. If you’d like a refreshing way to start a meal, this dish is it! Thin slices of salmon dotted with lemon cream are made more interesting with cucumber powder, crispy shallots and pickled radish, and all these together with bites of crispy melba toast yields rich, creamy, cool, and buttery flavors in the mouth.

For second course, there's the Herbed Brined Slow Roasted Chicken. Jeeves de Veyra

Options also abound for the second course. The pork belly is a popular pick, where the pork is confit to a crisp exterior, and served with traditional pairings like apple and potato. There’s also the herb-brined slow-roasted chicken, a simple and forthright dish, tasting of rosemary, accompanied with glazed carrots and a mushroom sauce.

The Grilled Snapper Fillet and Pasta is also recommended. Jeeves de Veyra

Seafood is something that Raging Bull also does remarkably well, as shown in the grilled snapper fillet and pasta, which earned praises during the tasting, thanks to beautifully cooked snapper and a seafood pasta that didn’t overpower the innate sweetness of the fish.

You can also upgrade to a steak lunch. Jeeves de Veyra

And while the Raging Bull Sandwich included in the second-course menu is already a great choice for those looking for a beefy lunch, diners looking for more beef can easily get a steak upgrade. For an additional P850, the Raging Bull steak lunch features grass-fed Tasmania steak cooked to your preference, and served with sides of thick fried fries, sautéed mushrooms, and confit cherry tomatoes.

End your meam with Fresh Mango and Meringue Crumble. Jeeves de Veyra

The third course is dessert, and if you opt for it, you’d be enjoying a tart and sweet meal-ender of fresh mangoes, airy and sweet meringue crumbles, and a lip-smacking passionfruit coulis.

Raging Bull’s two-course menu is priced at P1,180 nett, and the three-course at P1,480 nett, available every day, Monday to Sunday, from 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
