Contemporary fiction, children's literature, various anthologies, and many more works in Ilocano language are currently housed in a book fair in Baguio.

Gumil Filipinas, a group of Ilocano writers based in the Philippines and abroad organized the Libro Ilokano 2016: The 2nd Ilokano Bookfair at the University of the Philippines Baguio.

Gumil Filipinas President Arthur Urata Sr. said, through the book fair, the group hopes to promote Ilocano literature, especially among young readers.

The event also features magazine writer Ariel Tabag, whose book Kapessat Ti Bagis--meaning 'brotherhood' in English--won the Writer's Prize by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts in 2013.
