MANILA – After years of living in a condominium in Taguig, Solenn Heussaff and Nico Bolzico have finally moved to their new home.

Heussaff gave her fans a tour of her home in her vlog post over the weekend.

“This is actually a four-year-old house which I just renovated because I don’t want to spend too much,” she said.

“My style is homey, jungly, Havana, Moroccan chic,” she added.

Heussaff went on to share some home decorating tips:

“It is important to mix. The moment you match the perfect beige table with the perfect beige curtain with the perfect beige walls, it just looks like a hotel room, actually. Which is nice once in a blue moon, but when you’re at home, you want it to feel like a house.”

“I think a home only becomes a home when you put actual life into it. And for me, life is plants. It just brings everything together. Like if none of these [plants] were here, it would look so bare and plain.”

“Stick to three colors. Basically if you look at my color tones it’s beiges, blacks, and pops of colors like blue and orange.”

“One thing people don’t think of investing in is a mattress. I know it seems like if the price is high, why would I spend so much on a cushion? But the most important thing in your life is sleep. If you have good sleep, your brain cells work well, you work well. You age better.”

“When you’re moving into a house, make sure to check things you wouldn’t think of checking, like electrical, piping, drainage… And another important thing is pest control.”

“Another way of spicing up a room is by using a statement piece, like a chandelier or a fun mirror.”

“Curtains are an investment. It makes the room look bigger.”
