Singer and dancer Mocha Uson on Friday admitted that she did run a sex blog as a columnist for a men's magazine before, but she was at a loss as to why people dig into it up to this day.

"I’m being bashed because of my sex blog before. Inaamin ko naman, ako ay naging sex columnist ng Maxim, sexy men’s magazine. Dahil dyan, marami akong nagawang sex education videos. Matagal na matagal na po yun, pero inuungkat pa rin hanggang ngayon," she told Mornings@ANC.

(I’m being bashed because of my sex blog before. I admit I was a sex columnist of Maxim, a sexy men’s magazine. Because of this, I produced many sex education videos. But that was a long time ago, I don't understand why they're bringing those up until now.)

"Marami na po akong pinagsisihang ginawa ko noon. Pero ngayon po naniniwala po ako na ang tunay na pagbabago, nagsisimula sa sarili, kaya ito na po ang ginagawa ko ngayon," she said.

(I've done many things which I now regret. But I now believe in real change, which should start in us, which is why I'm doing this now.)

Uson was the subject of bashing yesterday after Customs Commissioner Nicanor Faeldon told ABS-CBN News he had tapped her to be the bureau's "social media consultant."

Eyebrows were raised and netizens poked fun at how allegedly easy it is to get a government position under the new administration.

The Bureau of Customs (BOC) later denied Faeldon's earlier statement. Uson also released a statement denying an official portfolio appointment.

In her interview with ANC, she said she approached Faeldon for an interview, as she had with Transportation Secretary Arthur Tugade, Social Welfare Secretary Judy Taguiwalo, and Philippine National Police Chief Ronald "Bato" Dela Rosa.

During the interview, she said, Faeldon told her the agency needs the help of the people to bust corruption within its ranks by receiving complaints via social media.

She said she was then asked by Faeldon to help BOC through her own platform "to disseminate information [tungkol sa] mga programa nila (about their programs)."

"Sabi ko, 'opo, handa po akong tumulong, 100%, voluntary, walang kapalit na posisyon, at walang kapalit na sahod.' Pero wala pong katotohanan yung appointment, official appointment na ako po ay magiging social media consultant ng BOC. Wala pong ganun." she said.

(I said, 'Yes, I'm ready to help, 100%, voluntary, without any position and salary. But it's not true there's an appointment, an official appointment that I will be a social media consultant of BOC. There's no such thing.)

She added she doesn't know why her offer of free services to the bureau has received a backlash.

"Ano ba ang pinagpuputok ng buchi nila? Wala nga akong posisyon; hindi ako inalok at wala akong tinanggap. Libre yung aking pagtulong," she said.

(What are they fired up about? I've no position; I wasn't offered and I did not accept any. My services are free.)

But she said despite being underestimated for her job, she will support President Rodrigo Duterte in his campaign for change with the almost four million followers she has on Facebook.

"Hindi nila matanggap na isang entertainer, isang dancer ay lumalaban [para] sa gobyerno. Kaya naman malakas ang loob ko kasi marami kaming mga kababayan natin, mga Duterte Die-hard Supporters (DDS) na gusto nang matigil ang kurapsyon sa ating gobyerno, matigil na ang kriminalidad, at hindi kami titigil, mga ka-DDS, mga Duterte Die-hard Supporters, na suportahan si Pangulong Duterte para ipagpatuloy ang tunay na pagbabago sa ating bansa," she said.

(They can't accept that I'm an entertainer, a dancer who is fighting for the government. But I have enough courage because there are many of our countrymen, the Duterte Die-hard Supporters who want to end corruption in government, stop criminality, and we, the DDS, won't stop in our support for President Duterte so he can pursue real change for our country.)

Uson also urged the haters who continue to pester her with nasty comments to instead channel their energies into something more productive like volunteering for the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD).

"Kaysa magdadakdak dyan, puro negative, inaanyayahan ko kayo, mga basher at mga haters, lumabas kayo sa mga bahay-bahay ninyo, sumama kayo sa akin, puntahan natin ang DSWD centers dahil nangangailangan sila ng mga volunteers," she said.
