MANILA – Makeup artist to the stars RB Chanco had a classy response to a basher who accused host-actress Kris Aquino of insulting her.

Commenting on Aquino’s recent Instagram post, the netizen claimed that the actress-host said she would only be flattered to be compared to Chanco “if she had her teeth fixed.”

The basher also alleged that Aquino said her assistant, Jack Salvador, is “too big” to get into a crowded elevator.

Both Chanco and Salvador were quick to defend Aquino amid rumors that she made rude remarks about them.

Replying to the thread on Instagram, Chanco said she is “not at all offended” even if the rumors are true.

“I have been working with Kris for the past 8 years, and more than that we are close friends. There’s really no need to be upset, because I’m not at all offended,” she said.

“If you get to know her, you will definitely change your perception of her. And you will get to know her good heart,” she added. “Again, I am not humiliated nor insulted at all. This just goes to show that we are so comfortable enough to say anything to each other, like just any other close friends, and just like family.”

Salvador, for his part, asked the basher to “relax,” saying that it is normal for Aquino to make fun of her close friends.

“Hi ma’am/sir, bakit po parang galit na galit ka naman sa post mo? Puwede po bang relax po tayo at puwede bang kapayapaan na lang po? Iyong mga ganoong banat ni madam (Aquino), lambing at biro niya po ‘yun kasi ibig sabihin mahal niya ‘yung tao,” he said, commenting on the thread.

“Kahit naman po siguro kayo ‘pag naglalambing or nakikipagbiruan sa mga friends niyo, kulitan minsan. Wag po tayong masyadong sensitive at mag-react,” he added.

Touched by her friends’ statements, Aquino responded to both Chanco and Salvador.

“Thank you, Jack, for everything,” she told her assistant.

To Chanco, Aquino said: “I love you, and you also know how Bimb (Aquino’s youngest son) defends you… I love you with my whole being.”
