MANILA -- Not a fan of sweets? A restaurant in Makati City recently introduced its own take on a savory birthday "cake," using two merienda staples.

Milky Way Cafe said it is now offering a Pancit Sotanghon Lumpia Cake, which is good for 10 to 12 persons and is priced at P1,895.

Pieces of lumpiang shanghai can be seen surrounding a big serving of pancit, giving it a cake-like shape.

"This is your next birthday cake!" Milky Way Cafe said in an Instagram post.

Opened in 2002, Milky Way Cafe has been known for serving a wide selection of Filipino dishes.

It is part of Chef J. Gamboa's group of restaurants along with Tsukiji, Azuthai, and Cirkulo.
