The tiara is set to go on sale from July 20 to 21 as part of an online auction by León Gallery, organized for the benefit of the 22 Pinoy fishermen whose boat was sunk by a Chinese vessel last month.

"I'm going to give the proceeds to them in the hopes that this gift to me, really, a gift to our nation when I won the title in 1970, will have real value and significance today," Pijuan said.

According to Pijuan, the tiara she owns is a smaller version of the actual Miss International 1970 crown that still boasts real jewels.

The ornament is listed on the León Gallery website with a starting demand bid of P60,000.

Pijuan hopes to reach an upper estimate of P500,000 for the tiara, which would match the donation made by former Foreign Affairs Secretary Albert Del Rosario to the affected fishermen.

Pijuan explained: "Albert del Rosario gave P500,000 and it didn’t hurt his pocket. I hope to get a similar amount, and it won't hurt my pocket either because it was never in my pocket."
