MANILA – Times Higher Education (THE) has released its first Asia-Pacific university rankings, and the Philippines barely made the cut.

The University of the Philippines (UP) in Diliman, Quezon City is the lone Philippine entry in THE’s list released on Tuesday, managing to get into the 200+ bracket.

UP Diliman was also the only Philippine representative in THE’s World University Rankings in 2016, landing in the 801+ bracket of 980 institutions topped by the United Kingdom’s University of Oxford.
