MANILA - Filipina Broadway star Lea Salonga expressed her opinion on young social media users who are fond of taking "disappearing" photos and videos.

Salonga took to Twitter to share her advise to the youth.

Dear young ones that enjoy making IG/FB stories, as fine and good as all that is, please remember to live real life as it happens without having to video it. That is all.

She also replied to some fans who shared their sentiments.

Salonga, likewise, said she doesn't understand why people should know everything about another person.

Salonga clarified that she understands the purpose of taking photos and videos "for the long haul" but not those kinds that disappears.

Social media is not new to Salonga, who is one of the most followed Filipino celebrities on Twitter, Instagram and Facebook.
