MANILA – The Ayala group unveiled two of its newest properties at the emerging central business district (CBD) in Quezon City on Wednesday.

These are the Seda Vertis North Hotel and the Ayala Malls Vertis North, which are both located just beside TriNoma.

In partnership with the National Housing Authority, the Ayala group committed a P65-billion investment program nine years ago to create the Quezon City CBD and in the process ignite a much-needed urban transformation.

Aside from the hotel and the mall, the development will see six residential towers in the area as well as three office towers and a two-hectare park.

For its hotel, the Seda Vertis North is said to be the first large format hotel of the homegrown chain, offering 438 guestrooms and suites. The 24-storey hotel was designed to cater to business travelers in the northern part of Metro Manila.

“Seda Vertis North is thoughtfully designed and conceptualized to weave destination, service, and value into an exceptional hospitality experience that complements the district’s active atmosphere,” said Al Legaspi, president and CEO of Ayala Hotels and Resorts Corp.

It boasts of an expansive lobby that showcases works of Philippine furniture companies and Filipino designers such as Kenneth Cobonpue and Anne Pamintuan. The hotel also has multiple function rooms including a 700-seat ballroom.

For all-day dining, it also houses the international restaurant Misto, featuring a show kitchen and impressive buffet.

Other hotel facilities include the Club Lounge, e-lounge, adults’ and children’s pools, a gym featuring state-of-the0art fitness equipment, a dancing yoga studio and spa with steam and sauna, among others.

Meanwhile, the Ayala Malls Vertis North is tagged to be the first “millennial mall” in the country. It is envisioned to host a wide array of offerings for its target customers by complementing whatever Trinoma has.

“It is a place of ultimate leisure and entertainment that fuses advanced technology with art and passion to create a series of exciting innovations,” said Rowena Tomeldan, head of Ayala Malls.

The mall will also introduce uniquely conceptualized anchors such as the Japan Town and Korean Town, which will bring the best of the two countries, respectively, all in one area. It is envisioned to bring the popular Japanese and Korean culture closer to local consumers.

The mall also provides a new level of film viewing experience, with its cinemas housing the country's largest movie screen with two private skyboxes.

Although only 20% of it is currently open, Tomeldan said they expect the mall to be 85% operational by year end, just in time for the Christmas holidays.
