MANILA -- Homegrown buffet restaurant chain Vikings on Monday introduced new policies as it adapts to the "new normal" brought about by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Diners were given a glimpse of what to expect when visiting any of Vikings' branches in a video posted on the restaurant's Facebook page on Monday.

The most drastic change was the implementation of an "order all you can" policy, as opposed to the self-service buffet setup that Vikings has been known for.

Under the "new normal," customers will be given disposable forms to place their orders from their seats, with glass shields installed at all food stations.

Those planning to eat at Vikings are also required to fill out a health declaration form via their mobile phones. "No approved form, no entry," according to the video.

Paper bags for face masks will also be provided to prevent the spread of viruses, complementing the restaurant chain's enhanced hygiene and physical distancing measures for guests and staff.

Restrooms have been similarly refurbished to adapt to the "new normal" with automated faucets and flush systems, as well as foot bars to avoid contact with door handles.
