MANILA -- Knowing how to cut your own hair could be quite handy, especially as salons are still not allowed to operate under quarantines imposed by the government.

To those who don't know where to start, Bela Padilla recently gave a step-by-step guide on YouTube. In her vlog, the actress said she is keen on styling her own hair even after the quarantine as it saves her a lot of money.

"I guess I just unlocked a life hack here," she said.

Padilla began by dividing her hair into four sections, securing each with a ponytail.

She then proceeded to slowly chop off her hair from each section, using the ponytails as markers.

"My only advice is don't get intimidated. It's very simple," she assured her viewers.

As for coloring her hair, Padilla said: "Just follow the instructions on the box."

Taking it a step further, the actress showed how she does her "French girl-slash-Korean girl-slash-Bela girl hair style" using a hair clamp, a brush, and a curling iron.
