WATCH: Pinoy dancers come together to try and save their community

MANILA -- "If you have the power to move, then you have the power to move the world."

This was the message of a video put together by nearly 60 dancers who have lost their work due to the coronavirus pandemic, released as part of an effort to raise money for artists like them.

It features a collection of clips, all shot from the dancers' homes, of them performing a routine, stitched together, and a message from National Artist for Dance Alice Reyes. Check it out below:

The Artists Welfare Project aims to help and give cash aide to many who rely on live events, stage performances, festivals, cruise ships, and parties for work. It is preparing to support these artists for the coming months, when they'll likely be out of jobs.

It was endorsed by Lea Salonga, who was one of the singers who kickstarted the fundraiser with a cover of "Umagang Kay Ganda."
