DAVAO CITY – Davao designer Aris Escarilla on Tuesday shared photos of the outfits that President Rodrigo Duterte’s common-law wife, Honeylet Avanceña, will be wearing to Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) summit-related activities this week.

The outfits include three Filipiniana dresses and two business suits in various colors and textiles, which Avanceña will be wearing to host the spouses of the ASEAN leaders.

In the sketches, Escarilla noted that uniquely Filipino details will be used in the designs, such as wooden beads.

Escarilla also designed the dress that Avanceña wore during President Duterte’s inauguration, as well as the barong worn by the President. Their daughter Veronica, also known as Kitty, wore a dress from Escarilla’s design house Chardin. -- with reports from Francis Magbanua, ABS-CBN News
