As darkness covers the streets, the adrenaline rush in the medical field peaks.

In Pasig City, a special rescue unit of Barangay Ugong monitors the streets, with tools and ambulance in check for possible emergencies.

The unit's team leader, emergency medical technician Kenneth Lacuna, ensures protocols are followed during ambulance runs.

Every call they receive marks a countdown to save a life. Kenneth relies on the team’s collective skills and resources in giving first aid to their patients.

While EMTs wait for emergency calls, doctors at the Fabella Hospital never run out of patients to attend to.

Doctors like Kesiah Bugante work round the clock, attending to at least 15 patients a day. Skipping meals and restroom breaks have become the norm for her shift, but the cry of a newborn trumps the strike of the clock at midnight.

Meet these two responders who keep the population healthy and safe in the anniversary series of "Mukha: Night Shift," 6:30 p.m. only on ANC.
