She appreciates the support but Catriona Gray, the country's candidate to the upcoming Miss Universe pageant, will not tolerate those who bash people online and spread negativity.

During her appearance on "Tonight With Boy Abunda" on Friday, she reminded her overly passionate defenders that her critics have a right to voice out their opinions.

She was asked about the harsh criticism beauty queens Maggie Wilson and Bea Santiago received after saying that she didn't deserve to win best in swimsuit during the Binibining Pilipinas finals.

"It's a competition. You can always say that another girl is deserving and that you thought someone else shined --and I respect that because we were a batch of amazing girls," she said.

"Let's not be overly sensitive. They're allowed to have their opinion so let's not use it as a means to attack with negativity and bashing."
