MANILA – People in Luzon may be locked up in their homes due to the enhanced community quarantine but this will not stop Ricky Lee from sharing to others his gift of screenwriting.

On Facebook, Cinema Centenario announced that Lee will be holding free online scriptwriting workshops on April 8, 15 and 22.

“Magkakalayo man tayo ngayon, ilalapit tayo ng kuwento. Magbasa. Magsulat. Magkuwento,” the poster for the workshop said.

For those who want to take part, an applicant, who must be at least 18 years old and a Filipino citizen, should send a letter of intent and a self-written biography.

Deadline of applications will be on March 27 at 11:59 p.m.

Lee is one of the acclaimed writers in the Philippines.

Aside from these workshops, he is also part of ABS-CBN’s “Project Foreword” along with ABS-CBN chief content officer Charo Santos-Concio, inspirational speaker Ardy Roberto and Mari Kris “Makiwander” De Luna Ogang.

The program aims to guide 20 aspiring authors by allowing them to collaborate with their mentors in creating and having their original works published by ABS-CBN Books.
