Boardwalk Restaurant is a new beachside buffet dining establishment located within the newly renovated Bay’s Inn Resort. The large restaurant serves a wide variety of cuisine including traditional Filipino dishes like pinakbet, kare-kare and lechon. Be sure to try their local specialties like kinilaw, pako appetizers and Suman de Baler, which is best enjoyed with Baler’s signature Peanut Butter. One whole section of the buffet called Bakerie is devoted to freshly baked breads, pastries, cakes and sweets.

Got a sweet tooth? Cap your meal with dessert at Mumunsi Chocolate Café, which specializes in all things chocolate. Cacao is endemic to the town of Maria Aurora right next to Baler and cacao trees are grown in backyards in the area. The café, which gets its name from a mountain where cacao trees are planted, serves and sells artisanal bean to bar chocolate and chocolate-based drinks and meals. Interesting dishes include the tsokolate de batirol, iced shakes spiked with chili, chocolate leaves and chocolate carbonara served with their own cacao shell focaccia.
