There's no doubt that Darren Criss is proud of his Filipino roots.

But just in case that some still harbor doubts about it, then let this photo of him wearing a barong while dancing with his Filipina mother at his wedding convince them otherwise.

The touching snap was taken by photographer Katie Edwards for Vogue as part of a set published Friday that also included one of Criss, still wearing the semi-sheer shirt, performing with his now-wife, Mia Swier.

His barong was by local designer Francis Libiran, who shared with Preview how he came to work with the half-Pinoy Hollywood star.

"My business partner Arsi Baltazar was contacted by Ashley Weston, the stylist of Darren Criss asking if we can create a modern design of the Barong Tagalog for Darren’s wedding," he recalled.

"We were ecstatic upon hearing this considering that we had just met him and partied with him at the Golden Globe Awards last January in Hollywood," he added.

Libiran also explained that Criss was "very hands on" in working with him on the design of the barong, and that the "Glee" star wanted one inspired by the famous tattoo patterns of the Pintados of Cebu.
