"My business partner Arsi Baltazar was contacted by Ashley Weston, the stylist of Darren Criss asking if we can create a modern design of the Barong Tagalog for Darren’s wedding," he recalled.

Libiran also explained that Criss was "very hands on" in working with him on the design of the barong, and that the "Glee" star wanted one inspired by the famous tattoo patterns of the Pintados of Cebu.
