MANILA – A state necrological ceremony for National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon Abueva will be held at the Cultural Center of the Philippines on Saturday, February 24.

This will be followed by an interment at the Libingan ng mga Bayani.

Abueva passed away last February 16 at the age of 88. He is known as the “Father of Modern Philippine Sculpture,” using indigenous materials in his creations.
