MANILA – Heart Evangelista can now add “bag designer” to her growing list of accomplishments.

The actress and painter has collaborated with the French luxury brand Sequoia for the Heart bag, which was launched on Wednesday.

The red heart-shaped bag can be purchased at Sequoia’s shop in Paris and on its website, and soon at the Distinqt boutique in Bonifacio Global City, Taguig.

According to Evangelista, only 100 pieces were made. “We decided that instead of following a standard handbag shape, we drew an iconic and easily recognizable shape. Perfect for Valentine’s!” she said in an Instagram post.

Sequoia also released photos of Evangelista’s visit to the brand’s office in Paris last year to create the Heart bag, which comes with a number code.

Evangelista has made her mark in the local fashion scene by painting on designer bags and releasing a clothing line in partnership with the homegrown brand Kamiseta.

Last year, she was featured in a video for the American fashion magazine Harper’s Bazaar about “real crazy rich Asians.”
