MANILA - There is no letup in Vice President Jejomar Binay's campaign to dissuade voters from choosing Davao City Mayor and PDP-Laban standard-bearer Rodrigo Duterte in the May 9 elections.

In a new video ad posted on Facebook, Binay tells voters that they have a moral responsibility not to choose Duterte for president.

"Hi!

He notes that Duterte has boasted that if he wins the presidency, he will continue to kill criminals, including minors. He also says Duterte's alleged extrajudicial killings only target the poor.

The video had over 1 million views, as of posting.

Duterte is currently the frontrunner in the presidential race, according to the latest ABS-CBN survey by Pulse Asia from March 29 to April 3. The survey showed at least 30% of voters picked Duterte for president if elections were held during the survey period while Senator Grace Poe dropped to second with 25%.

Binay and administration candidate Mar Roxas were statistically tied at third place with 20% and 19%, respectively, while Senator Miriam Defensor-Santiago was at the bottom spot with 2%.

On Tuesday, Binay challenged voters in Muntinlupa to make sure that Duterte will not win in the election.

Calling Duterte "mayabang" and "berdugo,” Binay said the poor will be the casualties of Duterte's campaign promise to rid the Philippines of criminality in three to six months.
