SEVENTEEN 'honored' over best group win at MTV VMAs

Photo from SEVENTEEN's X accountK-pop boy band SEVENTEEN expressed their honor and gratitude after being named best group at the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards (VMAs) on Thursday (Manila time).

"We’re so honored to win the Best Group award at the 2024 VMAs," the 13-member group wrote on X.

"Thank you CARATs for all your great love and support," they said, addressing fans.

SEVENTEEN triumphed over fellow K-pop groups NCT Dream, Tomorrow X Together, and NewJeans, as well as American acts *NSYNC, Imagine Dragons, and Twenty One Pilots, and British rock band Coldplay.

"'Rockstar' was a meaningful comeback for me after 'Lalisa,'" the Thai superstar said in her acceptance speech, referring to her debut single that earned her the same award at the 2022 VMAs.

"This is very, very special to me," she said of her win.

Lisa bested BTS' Jungkook, NCT Dream, NewJeans, Stray Kids, and Tomorrow X Together to claim the award.

The quintet also performed their new songs "Crazy" and "1-800-hot-n-fun" at the VMA pre-show.
