K-pop group 2NE1. Photo from CL's InstagramK-pop sensation 2NE1 is reuniting under its original label YG Entertainment for a global tour in celebration of its 15th anniversary, the company announced late Sunday.

On its social media pages, YG dropped a photo of the group consisting of CL, Sandara Park, Park Bom and Minzy, bearing the words "Welcome back."

In a video uploaded on the label's YouTube channel, YG founder and executive producer Yang Hyun-suk confirmed plans for the group's reunion, addressing rumors that had recently circulated on the matter.

"The members of 2NE1 informed me that they'd like to hold a concert commemorating their 15th anniversary," Yang said in the subtitled video.

"So we caught up and happily discussed, making it all happen within this year," he said.

The concert tour will commence in Seoul in October, followed by stops in Osaka and Tokyo in late November and December before continuing through 2025.

In 2022, the four members also reunited at Coachella for leader CL's set, performing their 2011 hit "I Am The Best."

After debuting in 2009 with the single "Fire," 2NE1 quickly became known as a leading group of K-pop's "girl crush" style. They distinguished themselves from the typical "cute" and "sexy" image of most female idols at the time with their hard-hitting hip-hop music and edgy image. The quartet disbanded in 2016.
