MANILA -- The hosts of "It's Showtime" could not contain their happiness and pride for Ryan Bang, who got engaged on Friday night to his girlfriend, Paola Huyong.

Huyong shared the wonderful news on Instagram, captioning her post "God is good" together with a ring emoji.

On Saturday's episode of the Kapamilya noontime show, the "It's Showtime" hosts congratulated Bang and wished for his happiness with his partner.

"Na-witness ko the man you have become, kung paano ka pinrepare ni Lord for this journey. Napakabuti mong tao... Binless ka ni Lord ng isang babae na napakabuti rin, napakaganda at napakabait na makakasama mo forever. God bless you both," Amy Perez said.

Vice Ganda could not help but be emotional as they recounted how Bang had grown "from a baby to a man," and revealed that she was the first person that Bang told about his proposal.

"Gusto ko ikaw ang unang nakakaalam," Bang said.

"Ano kaya kung hindi kita panayagan, ano nangyari kaya sa'yo kagabi?" Vice replied, to laughter from the audience.

But Vice stressed that she had no doubt that Huyong would say yes.

"Wala akong kakaba-kaba. Alam ko namang magye-yes si Paola. Walang tatanggi kay Ryan. Hindi ka katanggi-tanggi. Wala akong nakikitang katanggi-tanggi sa'yo. Napakaganda mong tao. Swerte kayong dalawa ni Paola sa isa't isa," they said.

Bang, for his part, expressed his gratitude to his "It's Showtime" family and particularly to Vice.

"Thank you, you allowed me to propose kay Paola, and thank you, pinalaki mo ako sobrang buti. Maraming-maraming salamat," he said.

Recalling his proposal, Bang said: "Gusto ko [magpa]salamat sa magulang niya, pumunta ako sa bahay nila. Nag-yes po sila sa akin... Gusto ko rin [magpa]salamat kay Paola, nag-yes po siya sa akin. I will make you most happiest girl in the world."

While no details about the wedding have been revealed, Bang says they intend to get married in the Philippines.

Bang first introduced Huyong during the opening night of his new restaurant Paldo, and met first during a casual game of football.
