Nearly 4,000 children auditioned for the popular kiddie gag show "Goin' Bulilit“ in  Quezon City, Saturday.

The young hopefuls aspiring to follow in the footsteps of their idols like Kathryn Bernardo, Belle Mariano, and Alexa Ilacad, who all began their illustrious careers on the show, snaked around the ABS-CBN Compound,

"I want to show my talent like Kathryn Bernardo. I want to be like her,” 7-year-old Calissa said.

“I want to be famous and show my talent. Waiting in line for a long time is okay because this is for me,” 9-year-old Andre added.

Along with their talent showcase, the children each prepared a set of jokes.

Emotions ran high with some children feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness.

Felicity, for instance, was thrilled to audition. She, however, could not help but be emotional when she talked about wanting to make her recently deceased grandmother proud.

"My grandma's dream was for me to become an artist so that she would be happy."

Parents, accompanying their children in the long queue, shared they believe the audition is a good learning experience.

“Win or lose, try and try. This is for their development, growth, and opportunity,” Maria Herbosa said,

"It's better because she can cooperate, not just within our comfort zone,” Tricia del Moro added.

The selected children from this audition will join the "It's Showtime Kids,” bringing joy and laughter to households starting this June.
