MANILA -- If you’re one of those parents or guardians who are thinking of bringing your children to the highly anticipated "Goin Bulilit" open auditions this Saturday, the creator of the kiddie gag show Bobot Mortiz has a few reminders.

According to Mortiz, “Ang pinaka-importante diyan is yung mga bata gusto talagang mag-artista, hindi yung mga nanay yung gustong mag artista.

But what exactly is he looking for? Is he looking for someone who already knows how to act? Someone with experience? Or does he prefer someone who’s inexperienced?

Will it be an advantage for the auditionee if he or she knows how to sing and dance too? Mortiz said yes. But most importantly, “Kahit papaano dapat may dating siya, importante sa kin may karisma yung bata.”

The audition process isn’t going to be complicated according to him. He shared with ABS-CBN News some of his unforgettable audition moments with Julia Montes and Alexa Ilacad.

Montes wasn’t a favorite candidate when she auditioned. Mortiz even described her demeanor back then as "parang napipilitan umarte". But he saw something in her that made him include her in the top 20 auditionees.

For Alexa, it was just a random and spontaneous moment.

Meanwhile, "It’s Showtime" kids Argus, Jaze, Kulot, Kelsey and Imogen will be part of the highly-anticipated return of "Goin Bulilit".

Mortiz said he has not met the kids but he has seen them act in the noontime show.

The director stressed that the kids will fit very well in the "Goin Bulilit" mold since they are well prepped in reading and performing scripted situations and scenes.

Mortiz also said that they will be a good mix with the talented kids from the open auditions that will happen this weekend.

The Goin Bulilit open auditions will be held May 25 at the ABS-CBN Center Road from 9am to 2pm.
