MANILA -- After the announcement of the highly-anticipated comeback of award-winning kids show "Goin' Bulilit," ABS-CBN News has learned that the child stars of "It's Showtime" will be part of the kiddie gag show's new cast.

Argus, Kulot, Jaze, Imogen and Kelsey will showcase their wit and adorable personalities on the program -- together with a new batch of bulilits that will conquer the open auditions happening on Saturday at the ABS-CBN Compound.

The show's creator Bobot Mortiz showered the "Showtime" kids with compliments.

"Hindi ko pa sila nami-meet pero alam kong magagaling sila. Maganda 'yan kasi masasalihan natin ng ibang bata na magaling talaga," Mortiz said.

He also told ABS-CBN News that he was earnestly scouting producers to revive the iconic program after the pandemic. 

And now that it's finally returning, he can't help but feel excited, too.

"Nagulat ako kasi biglaan nga. Pero nakakatuwa naman na maraming excited na mga bata. Ang tagal nawala ang Goin' Bulilit," he said. "Aaminin ko, nung nawala to kung saan-saan ko 'to inalok, gusto mong gumawa talaga ng 'Bulilit.' Siguro kaya hindi natuloy noon kasi eto talaga siya."

The release date of the show is yet to be announced.
