"How Sweet" is inspired by the Miami bass genre, "infused with catchy electro beats," label ADOR said on Phoning, NewJeans' fan community app.

The five-piece act released the audio for "How Sweet" on Friday noon while the song's video will premiere at 3 p.m. Philippine time (4 p.m. KST).

"How Sweet" serves as the main track for NewJeans' release that also includes "Bubble Gum," which the group unveiled last April 26 through a music video.

The new music comes even as ADOR CEO Min Hee-jin continues to engage in a feud with HYBE, which filed a legal complaint against the star producer for allegedly orchestrating a plan to break away from the parent company.

Despite the conflict, HYBE has assured NewJeans' "comeback activities are not hindered."

Debuting in 2022, NewJeans — composed of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin and Hyein — quickly rose in popularity through their visual and musical styling reminiscent of the 1990s and 2000s.
