"Our company is committed to doing its best to ensure that NewJeans’ comeback activities are not hindered," HYBE wrote in Korean on fan community WeVerse, as translated into English by entertainment news website Soompi.

HYBE's assurance comes as the company continues to engage in a dispute with Min Hee-jin, the CEO of its sub-label ADOR that created and manages NewJeans.

The clash has spurred worries that it might affect NewJeans' upcoming activities, including new releases beginning this April until June.

HYBE said it would also take legal action against those making "malicious posts" against the NewJeans members.

The company added it would also provide support for the artists' "psychological healing and emotional stability."

Earlier this week, HYBE announced an audit into ADOR for allegedly plotting to break away from the parent company, but Min has denied the allegations and accused one of HYBE's sub-labels of copying NewJeans.

Also on Thursday, HYBE said it would file a legal complaint against Min for allegedly orchestrating a plan to break away from the company.

HYBE, which is also behind K-pop supergroup BTS, said it secured evidence that Min arranged a "plan to seize the management rights" of ADOR.

But in a press conference later in the day, Min denied the allegations, saying she had "no interest" in management rights.

"What have I done wrong? I believe my only fault is having done my job well," she said.

Min reiterated that her tensions with HYBE began after she accused subsidiary Belift Lab of imitating NewJeans through the new girl group ILLIT.

"It's infuriating enough when others (copy us) from the outside, but discovering it was happening inside (the company) made me even more incensed," she said. — With a report from Agence France-Presse
