A majority of the cast of "Senior High" will reprise their roles on the follow-up series "High Street" following its successful first season.

Given the 5-year time jump expected in the second season, Zaijan Jaranilla and Miggy Jimenez said their characters Tim and Poch would be featured in more mature scenes.

"Dito sa 'High Street,' may time jump na ng... 5 years. Iba na 'yung pag-atake sa characters. Mas intimate kami. Mas mature in a way. Mas ganun po. Kaya nakakatuwa na nakakakaba. Pero iba 'yung fulfillment 'pag nagagawa namin ng maayos 'yung trabaho namin [as actors]", Jaranilla said.

In "High Street", Tim, played by Jaranilla, now works in forensics for the police, while Poch, played by Jimenez, is a struggling actor.

The onscreen couple said that their characters would face various challenges.

"Siguro it's more of ‘yon nga kung paano siguro magdu-dwell 'yung characters into the work life and the mature life. So, well, expect nyo na siyempre na magkasama kami lagi ni Tim. So, marami pa kami mga...problems and struggles na iso-solve," Jaranilla said.

"At tsaka sigurado ako, makaka-relate sila doon sa mga magiging problema natin at kung paano aayusin."

Jimenez also revealed that they ask for consent from each other before they shoot their scenes.

"Bukod pa sa direction ni Direk Onat (Diaz) parang malaking tulong kasi lahat kami iisa lang 'yung goal, which is pagandahin 'yung objective ng scene and then at the same time, 'yun nga, kahit 'yung mga konting, to make it more realistic siguro. Kaya kami mas nag-uusap kung paano ba namin, kung ano 'yung pwede pa namin gawin," he said.

Also reprising their roles in "High Street" are the show's lead star Andrea Brillantes, Juan Karlos Labajo, Daniela Stranner, Tommy Alejandrino, Gela Atayde, Angel Aquino, Kean Cipriano, and Angeli Bayani. Newcomers will include Dimples Romana, Romnick Sarmenta, AC Bonifacio and others.

The series will premiere at 9:30 p.m. Monday on Kapamilya Channel, A2Z and TV5. It is now streaming on iWantTFC.
