MANILA — "High Street" actress Andrea Brillantes said Saturday that the "Senior High" sequel will give viewers glimpses of the realities experienced by the working class.

Brillantes believes that "High Street" offers a more mature story, wherein her character, Sky, pursues a career in media.

"Sa 'Senior High', nasa school pa kami pero 'High Street' po is after college. Talagang wala na kami sa four walls ng North Ford so medyo intense po 'yung haharapin naming challenges. Pero at the same time mas mature na rin kami," the actress said.

"'Yung 'High Street' po kasi after college so (nagsa-start na) nag-wowork pa lang kami, sabay din sila, sina Sky, sina Roxy na natututo pa lang sa real, wala na sila sa school," she added.

Brillantes hopes that their viewers will also learn to navigate their jobs as they watch the show.

"Makaka-relate rin sila in a way na lahat tayo rito mayroong dreams na tina-try ma-reach pero alam mo 'yung reality sa bansa, mahirap siya," she said.

"Sabay-sabay din tayong natututo rito, habang natututo sila, makikita rin nila na hindi talaga lahat after college, after school ay perfect."

"High Street" is directed by Onat Diaz and Lino Cayetano.

"Senior High" ran for 105 episodes, concluding on January 19.

The trailer of "High Street," released last week, saw the return of antagonist Gov. Acosta (Mon Confiado), who is now seeking revenge after his supposed death.
