MANILA -- Andi Eigenmann can't help but become emotional as she revealed that she started her family's YouTube channel Happy Islanders for her mom, screen veteran Jaclyn Jose, who passed away last month due to heart attack.

In her newest vlog which shows her returning to Siargao and touring her brother Gwen Guck around the island, Eigenmann said Happy Islanders was her way to update her mother.

She also shared that her family's vlog was the last video that her mother watched before she passed away.

"I'm maybe sure that you all know that I have been going through a difficult time in my life lately. My Nanay, she passed away and things have not been easy. But you know, she has always been the biggest Happy Islanders' fan. And the whole purpose of me creating that,  a vlog, was also because being away from my family, having Happy Islanders was the best way for me to keep her updated with my life here,"  said Eigenmann, who started tearing up.

"She's been my biggest fan with everything that I do and she loved watching Happy Islanders and our videos all the time. In fact, when I was able to check her phone, I saw, we saw that in her YouTube, the last video she watched was our last video, our last Happy Islanders' video," she added.

After talking about her mom, the vlog continued with clips of Eigenmann spending time with her family and her youngest brother Gwen, her only sibling with her mother.

Eigenmann, who started uploading videos of her family on the popular video-sharing website in December 31, 2019, now has 2.68 million subscribers.
