American pop superstar Ariana Grande is the top trending topic in the Philippines after the release of her new album "eternal sunshine" on Friday.

Grande's seventh studio was album released in the Philippines at 1 p.m. and immediately the hastags #eternalsunshine and Ariana Grande took the top spots on the Philippine trends on X, formerly Twitter, with nearly 300,000 tweets.

Many fans observed Grande's reference to her past relationship with real estate agent Dalton Gomez.

"Dalton Gomez better watch his back the way Ari's voice cracked at the end of 'i wish i hated you'," a fan said in a tweet.

"And if I say, #eternalsunshine is Top 3 on Ariana's discography, if not her best album ... then what? And this isn't even new album fever," another fan added.

Grande and Gomez started dating in 2020 and got married in 2021 at the singer’s home in Montecito, Southern California.

Several American media outlets earlier said Grande was the one who filed for divorce two months after their initial separation was first reported.

Citing a source, People magazine said the split was “kind and patient” and they have both “moved on.”

Following her split with Gomez, Grande was linked to her fellow "Wicked" star Ethan Slater.

Grande will be releasing a music video of "we can't be friends (wait for your love)" and will be inspired by the Jim Carrey starrer "Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind."
