MANILA -- Popular OPM band Ben&Ben is joining Ed Sheeran's concert in the country this March 9 as special guest, producer Ovation Productions announced in a social media post on Tuesday. 

On its Facebook post, Ben&Ben expressed their excitement to be part of Sheeran's Manila concert which will be held at SMDC Festival Grounds.

"Ma, special guest na kami ni Ed Sheeran sa concert niya. Parang dati lang, nagco-cover lang kami ng 'Perfect' sa YouTube. Never in our wildest dreams did we think this could happen. Surreal," the group shared.

Aside from Ben&Ben, British singer Calum Scott will also perform at Sheeran's concert.

Ed Sheeran to return to PH next year for concert

Sheeran last performed for his Filipino fans in April 2018. He was supposed to hold the show November 2017 but it was pushed back to April 2018 after he was injured in a cycling accident.

In a previous interview, Sheeran said he loves how his fans in the Philippines make him feel special.

“The passion that they have for music, there’s nowhere else in the world that has this sort of pandemonium and I love it. I love it. It really makes me feel special,” he said at the time.

Sheeran’s first performed in Manila at the Mall of Asia Arena in 2015.
