K-pop star Ten of the boy group NCT set on Tuesday a new milestone in his career with the release of his first solo extended play (EP).

"I am so nervous... I hope you like it," the 27-year-old Thai singer told fans in a YouTube livestream held an hour prior to the EP's release.

The self-titled EP consists of six tracks, all performed in English, with "Nightwalker" serving as the lead single.

Ten also dropped a music video for "Nightwalker," a song that he believed showed a different side of himself as an artist.

"The reason why it was chosen as the title track [is because] I wanted to show [my] diverse sides. And I thought about which song could do that and 'Nightwalker' fit that concept," he said.

Discussing the single's chorus, Ten said, "The beat is powerful and I sing in a whisper, and I thought the fans would like it."

While the EP marks Ten's official solo debut, he previously released songs under his label's digital music project SM Station, such as "Paint Me Naked" and "Birthday."

Ten entered the K-pop industry in 2016 as a part of NCT, a boy band whose more than 20 members are split into various sub-groups. Specifically, he performs under NCT U and the China-based team WayV.

The artist, whose real name is Chittaphon Leechaiyapornku, also debuted in 2019 with SuperM, a supergroup composed of members from SM Entertainment's various male acts.

Taeyong, another member of NCT and SuperM, is also set to make a solo comeback on February 26 with the EP "TAP."
